Moichi KUWAHARA




Moichi Kuwahara
Selector, producer, and representative of Club King. He managed Rolling Stone Japan from its launch in 1973, produced "Snake Man Show" in 1977, collaborating with YMO, and began selecting music for Comme des Garçons fashion shows the same year. In 1982, he opened "Pithecanthropus," Japan's first club, in Harajuku. In 1989, he launched the free paper "dictionary," and in 1996, he started "club radio dictionary" on Shibuya FM in Tokyo. Following his participation in "Non-War," curated by Ryuichi Sakamoto and suspeace, released after 9/11 in 2001, he developed "Comedy Club King (CCKing)," expressing his unique worldview through comedy. He currently produces free papers, web content, podcasts, community radio, TV programs, mobile sites, video expressions, comedy live events, and the overarching web platform "Media Club King." He continues his activities aiming to be an alternative media that lives by LOVE & PEACE.
