Though I must have heard it countless times before, I found myself listening again today.
Amy Winehouse's songs are as addictive as a fix for a junkie.

It feels familiar, like a first encounter. I've had such experiences a few times since childhood.

Is it some kind of innate predisposition, written into our DNA?

And inevitably, such songs stir a poignant melancholy that becomes almost unbearable.

Tonight, I'll dedicate the evening to Amy.
