I've heard people say, here and there, that they're no longer interested in printed information, and that online media feels more current.

In this digital age, I'm astounded and deeply impressed by Comme des Garçons' unwavering commitment to pursuing what can only be achieved through print.

Whether one views this persistent dedication as the essence of creativity or mere stubbornness,

may be the measure of Tokyo's cultural discernment.

Within a culture nurtured by a long history, to continue creating on equal footing,

I am once again deeply impressed by the philosophy of Comme des Garçons.

Recently, the title of a Buddhist magazine that Jun Miura is involved with was,

“Little Desire, Much Contentment.”

According to the Digital Daijisen dictionary,

it means to have few desires and be content with little.

Also, in a recent culture section of the Nikkei morning paper,

there was a recommendation to live at "40%."

The basic meaning is similar.

I've recently come to realize how remarkably these ideas align with challenging the culture born from a grand history.

Let's consider the continuation tomorrow.
