Gilles Peterson's Latest Release and Exquisite World Music
Sunday nights, a personal moment of pure bliss for adults, flowing gently with sophisticated music. Delivering such a rich experience is DJToshio Matsuura's radio program, "TOKYO MOON"──. Each Sunday, he broadcasts a selection of wonderful music from around the globe and intriguing topics for adults on Inter FM 76.1MHz, starting at 7 PM. Here, we present the program as it aired each week. This week, we featured tracks from a collaborative mix CD by DJ Gilles Peterson, known as the evangelist of sound, and Tokyo club "Air," along with plenty of event information.

Gilles Peterson Event in Japan!
This week, we focused on tracks from "One Time! Gilles Peterson x AIR," a mix CD created by London DJ Gilles Peterson in collaboration with Tokyo club AIR in Daikanyama, set for release on October 20th (Wednesday). This 66-minute sonic journey, featuring his signature eclectic selection—from dubstep, which has become a major movement dominating dance floors across Europe, to avant-garde and smoky breakbeats, earthy Afro music, and contemporary jazz—is a must-listen for music enthusiasts.
Gilles will also visit Japan to celebrate the release. Three performances in Tokyo, each with a distinct atmosphere, and one in Osaka have been scheduled. What is the "now" for him, who has been pioneering trends for 30 years? Please come to the venue and experience it with your own ears.

Following Gilles Peterson's latest release, here's another new release. "Buena Vista Social Club," a massive hit worldwide in the 1990s.
The original concept was to have musicians from Cuba and Mali collaborate on an album. After 14 years, that concept has finally come to fruition. It can be said to be the grand entrance of a true heavyweight in the world music scene, garnering global attention.
This autumn, a superb album has been released that allows you to truly feel the African origins of Latin music.
And this week's announcement: "The Beach," a party regularly held at "MICROCOSMOS" in Shibuya, will be a special event at a stand bar in Ginza 7-chome. Running from 8 PM to midnight, it's an innovative concept perfect for stopping by after work, and best of all, there's no music charge. Let's enjoy the long autumn nights together with delicious drinks and music.
