Concept: “A Panorama of Delusion”──A Scenic Self-Deprecation. Expansive Madness.

The gallery is filled with the wonderfully strange, self-deprecating world of young Chinese artist Chi Peng, captured panoramically.

Using his own body as the subject, the artist's struggle against himself and his desperate dash to break free from constraints embody transformation and the self-expression of youth in a new generation.

In this exhibition, held on the second floor of DIESEL DENIM GALLERY, KENSUI's direction adds a dynamic, large-scale installation to unfold “A Panorama of Delusion.”


Chi Peng
Born in Shandong Province, China, in 1981. Graduated from the Digital Media Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
He has presented numerous photographic works using digital manipulation and costume, with himself as the subject.
He has held solo exhibitions in various locations, including Beijing, where he is currently based.
He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the 3rd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale (2005), “Chinese Photography Today” (New York, 2005), and “China Avant-garde” (Vienna, 2006). In March 2008, he visited Japan for the “Yokohama City-Beijing City Artist-in-Residence Exchange Program” and conducted a residency.
