"For the Earth, for the children—A Christmas that continues into the future" is the theme for the "Merry Green Christmas" charity campaign by the Mitsukoshi Isetan Group. This year marks the eighth installment since its launch in 2006.



As part of the Mitsukoshi Isetan Group's shared environmental slogan, "Kiss the Earth," we will once again be collecting donations through the sale of Bear Santa BE@RBRICK straps. Donations received will be used through the Green Santa Fund to provide Japanese-made wooden products to children and to support the creation of Green Santa® forests. The 2013 Bear Santa BE@RBRICK straps come in all new colors. Available in three types with deep color schemes such as strawberry, forest green, and mint green, they will be sold for charity. The Green Santa Fund is an organization that works to help children, who will lead the future, understand and become interested in the environment and forests through the character of "Green Santa®," an environmental goodwill ambassador. Since its establishment in 2006, it has been involved in donating Japanese-made wooden products to children, environmental education, and forest creation, all with the aim of gifting a green future to children.
