Sounds Emerging Between Silence and Passion
On a Sunday night, a personal moment flows leisurely with sophisticated music—a moment of bliss for adults. This time is further enriched by DJ Toshio Matsuura's radio program, "TOKYO MOON."──Each Sunday, he broadcasts his carefully selected, wonderful music from around the world, along with intellectually stimulating topics for adults, from 24:00 on Inter FM 76.1MHz. Here, we look back at the program that just aired each week. This week, we feature the Nagoya-based band J's Bee.

New Release Imminent
J's Bee is a band that has been active for over 10 years, based in Nagoya. Led by saxophonist and composer Jun Shimizu, the group currently comprises seven members who have established their unique style by integrating elements from various musical genres such as jazz, classical, dub, ambient, and rock.
Even before their album debut in 2002, they were actively performing live in Tokyo. Their cinematic and experimental sound made them a known entity in the club jazz and underground electronic music scenes.
Their fifth album, "isotope," soon to be released, will be a simultaneous worldwide release from Far Out, a prestigious independent label in London, UK, known for its releases primarily in Brazilian music, and home to artists like Joyce, Azymuth, and Marcos Valle.
This work, which spins emotions both calmly and intensely within a more minimal soundscape than ever before, will guide you on a sonically thrilling journey from its introduction to its conclusion.

I am greatly looking forward to their live performances, which will likely fuse visuals and music in the near future.
(The video is the first installment, "Lights," from the album "isotope." It has a different feel from the song introduced, but I think you'll enjoy it.)
