His New Album, a Culmination of His Career, is Coming Soon!
Mark de Clive-Lowe, a producer, composer, and musician, whose mother is Japanese and father is New Zealander, travels the world, shifting his base of operations between New Zealand, Tokyo, London, and Los Angeles.
He began playing piano at the age of four and continues his musical exploration, influenced by diverse genres from classical and jazz to hip-hop and soul. He was active at the heart of the West London broken beat scene for a decade, and since 2009, he has participated in numerous projects in Los Angeles, collaborating with various artists.
His soon-to-be-released new album, "Take The Space Trane," was recorded during a performance at a music festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he was invited by Rob van de Wou, a trumpeter with the Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra, marking his first collaboration with a big band since high school in New Zealand.
The album features songs from his career, including the jazz classic "Caravan" by Duke Ellington & Juan Tizol, which was introduced on the program, as well as big band arrangements of his past works and new compositions written specifically for this album. It truly represents the culmination of his career. You can download the title track, "Take The Space Trane," for free via the link below. Please give it a listen.
