Opening with a Cover of "Thriller"

Easy Star All-Stars, a New York-based reggae collective, gained attention in 2006 for their full reggae arrangement cover of Radiohead's "OK Computer," which even earned praise from Thom Yorke himself. This time, they took on the "forbidden move" of covering Michael Jackson's "Thriller." At the start of the program, we featured the title track, which is sure to bring a smile to listeners' faces.



We also introduced a track where the New Orleans brass band Hot 8 Brass Band revived The Specials' 1981 hit single "Ghost Town" with a funky arrangement, and a new AOR-tinged song from the first best-of album by Dutch singer-songwriter Benny Sings, who is scheduled to perform in Japan in October.
