New Music to Stimulate the Senses

We begin with a track from keyboardist Ahmed Sirour, whose work is characterized by mellow piano melodies floating over a downtempo beat. Then, we presented the mature, bluesy vocals from the new album by the living legend of soul, Bobby Womack, who collaborated with Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, and Richard Russell, owner of XL Recordings.




We also introduced new music to stimulate the senses from a wide variety of genres and countries, including the cinematic second album from British funk band Funkshone, and from Ryat, a project centered around Christina Ryat, whose Björk-esque vocals are impressive, emerging from Brainfeeder, the label run by Flying Lotus, a central figure in the current beat scene, all the way to Moodymann, the Detroit enigma also known as Kenny Dixon Jr.

US3 Returns to Japan!

US3 (Asu Surī), one of the representative artists of the acid jazz movement that swept the world in the early 1990s, returns to Japan for a DJ set. This one-night-only special event, featuring numerous other DJs and a fashion show by a Los Angeles-based fashion brand, will unfold on the top floor of The Peninsula Tokyo, a luxurious hotel overlooking the Imperial Palace, at a venue called "Peter." It promises to be a night befitting adults.
