At wedding receptions, guests who came to celebrate the newlyweds

would entrust their celebratory wishes to a mini shikishi board.

It seemed to be a customary ritual, but

I felt rather reluctant and deliberately didn't write anything.

A marker pen on a shikishi... I'm sure I'd be terrible at that.
Lately, I've been indulging in various apps, playing the part of an iPhone grapher, so if I'm going to play, I want to play in a way that feels right.
It seems to have become a habit.
Not that I can do anything particularly special...

It's a matter of sentiment, isn't it?

However, you informed us that Mr./Ms. [Name] is very disappointed about not being able to receive a shikishi.

In that case, selfishness is not an option!

Alright, then I recalled something the groom told me long ago about his preference in women.
He said he was drawn to women with full, delicate lips.
Perhaps the complete opposite of me...

But putting that aside,
I played around with iPhone graphy, inspired by the groom's taste.

Perhaps it would have been even better if I could have photographed the bride's lips...

And so, this became my celebratory shikishi.

Still, the power of fashion is truly remarkable.

The gorgeous, light-blue dress made by the bride's sister,

with her due date in spring,
made the visibly pregnant bride look incredibly elegant.

A special day where everyone's love makes a person beautiful.
That was the wedding reception.

Even in the lives of city dwellers, where every day feels like sunshine,

there are such days in life.
