From Motoki Masui of JAM HOME MADE,
a beautiful leather case arrived.

Five days have passed since then.
It's remarkably comfortable to use.

This is a prototype case for
my "iPhone G," which I carry daily.

For nearly two years now, my daily iPhone has been equipped with the Turtle Jacket / Model: TJ01, transforming it into a weighty, solid block of black iron that defies the lightness of the era.
As for this block of black iron, for the first six months or so, I couldn't even find a camera strap, so I reluctantly kept it in my pocket. But it was heavy and bulky, and I finally gave up.

I finally found a classic, thick leather camera strap and wore it around my neck in a Showa-era dad style. However, the attachment point was thin and weak, making it incompatible with the heavy iron block. I've lost count of how many times the strap has broken and been replaced, leading to numerous drops.
At one point, the lens filter cracked, and I was truly distressed. Moreover, this strap tangled in more places than I expected, causing constant annoyance. It was only a matter of time before I'd have to say goodbye to this style as well, when suddenly...

"Hold on a moment!"

Like Cinderella's wedding ring,

it initially appears as a rusted ring, but with use, it transforms into beautiful platinum and diamonds.

What a pure and romantic concept.

If I were to give a wedding ring in my next life, I would want to give this beautiful ring to someone who would understand this sentiment silently.

I asked him to take on the project, and about half a year has passed since then. Actually, this was about two months ago. I tried their existing products once, but...
The iron block was heavier than expected, and the existing leather case couldn't withstand the repeated stress of loading it for each shot, eventually tearing and falling.

And so, they finally moved towards creating an original prototype. Two months passed from then...
The diligent researcher, Masui-kun, purchased the same Turtle Jacket / Model: TJ01 and an iPhone for this purpose, approaching it with full preparation. Ah, I'm moved to tears. And then, the prototype was completed.

Now, in the former blacksmith's workshop near the entrance of the Dictionary Club, where he watches over my art school, the jewelry and accessories crafted by Munenari Hisayama, also known as Donald, are truly remarkable.
This beautiful tool was created in response to my simple wish for a pocket watch.
The chain broke once while using it, but it was repaired, and the watch's functionality was even improved. I savor the beauty of tools that can only be understood through use, day by day.

My selection of music concluded yesterday, but as a fellow creator, I feel there is only one thing to say.

Concentration!

This is an unavoidable and essential element in our creative process, and the supreme, unstoppable condition that reigns over all talent. Doubts begin to sprout in my mind.
