I found a poster for a bullfight at a French restaurant and captured it with my iPhone G.
Apparently, the owner of the French restaurant first saw it at a local izakaya, and when he asked if he could have it, he was told it was an important poster conveying a local traditional event, and was refused.
However, perhaps the true essence of a discerning French restaurant is not to be deterred by such a refusal,
or perhaps it was the sheer guts of the chef who serves duck heart confit.
Despite trying several places, he returned home without a positive response...
Yet, fate works in mysterious ways, and perhaps good work leads to good serendipity,
it was the chef's own disciple who fulfilled the chef's wish for the poster,
by going to train in the region himself.

What is born from deep black grapes, so dark they are opaque even when held to the light,
is a rich red wine,
and from that same land, an irresistible brandy.
Unlike the bullfights of Spain,
here, the bulls are not killed! This is bullfighting.
A renowned product that preserves its unique language and culture, proudly presented to the world.
Armagnac
(L'Armagnac, Gascon: Armanhac)
A specialty restaurant for Armagnac and aromatic regional cuisine,
located around the area gently sloping down from Nogi Shrine in Akasaka.
The name of this elusive restaurant, which is difficult to get a reservation for, is your own creation.

Lundi Pentecôte: In Latin, Pentecostes (Pentecost, the fiftieth day) refers to the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles who were praying after Jesus Christ's resurrection and ascension. It is celebrated on the seventh Sunday after Easter. This year, May 23rd falls on that day, and the following Monday is a public holiday in European countries including France.
Every year, the Feria de Pentecôte festival is held on the weekend of this holiday.
While the Feria in Nîmes is famous, the Feria in Vic-Fezensac in the Armagnac region is also a major festival in Gers, known as the Vic festival, with a history of 70 years.
Over these four days, five bullfights are held, and 3,500 spectators gather in the bullring within the town of Vic.

A little trivia.
A red cloth (muleta) is used to agitate the bull,
leading to the common misconception that bulls become agitated by the color red.
However, bulls are colorblind and are actually agitated by movement, not color. It is the bullfighter who is more likely to be excited by the red cloth.
