Diary-T 188 Happy New Year
2012: Happy New Year.
Happy New Year, everyone.
I hope for your continued good favor this year.
Let us learn, play, and love life to the fullest.
Koichi Kuwabara

This year's first iPhone grapher subject is a rose.
On the way back from our first shrine visit of the year, it seemed to beckon me from a neighbor's garden,
as if to say, 'Hello there!'
Flowers truly are the reproductive organs of plants.

This year's first ceremonial sake is Shirogane from Obuse.
Of course, the sake itself is delicious, but I also savored the exquisite design of this bottle. The calligraphy on the Japanese paper and the stainless steel design are both remarkably beautiful. I intend to keep this bottle carefully even after I've finished the sake.

The faces of people from the past are endlessly fascinating. I am awestruck by the vastness of the memories etched onto a person's face. I wonder what our faces will look like a century from now.

In a room adorned with a hanging scroll like this,
I would like to share a quiet drink with a gentle lady.

This is true contentment.
