Diary-T 185 "It Will Be As It Will Be"
"Good Morning"
When you greet someone and receive no reply, your mind cannot find peace. More than that, your heart is wounded.
Why is that? "Good morning" is
a phrase that carries the meaning of wishing
well for the day ahead.
A greeting is a form of gift.
A gift is not something whose value is self-evident.
"A gift does not become a gift unless the recipient imbues it with meaning on their own."
"A gift does not become a gift unless the recipient imbues it with meaning on their own."
"A gift does not become a gift unless the recipient imbues it with meaning on their own."
This explains why the giver of a greeting can be hurt by the lack of a reply.
Someone who doesn't return a greeting has judged, "The vibrations you sent out have no value." That is what wounds us.
From "The Age of Curses" by Jitsuro Uchida
Cutup from Chapter 8, "Wisdom for Surviving the Future."

A gift from a woman who assisted me for what felt like a long time, four years. You can tell the quality of delicious food by its wrapping. How does the other person react? People are watching, even when you don't think they are. They are truly seeing the good in things, and this is reflected in the work itself. The ability to perceive is the ability to work. Being considerate is a skill that ranks highly in the workplace; anyone who does good work knows this. Thank you for your hard work. I will gratefully accept this. Thank you.

An exhibition centered around Mr. Inagaki's "ALL ABOUT My Personal Collection" at Inagaki Shoten will be held at the local folk craft museum (I'm bragging!).
"It Will Be As It Will Be"
I've been friends with Mr. Inagaki for about ten years, drawn to his wine selections. Whenever I've been in trouble and murmured a word, his response has always been this.
Deeply influenced by Soetsu Yanagi's 'movement of beauty,' he presides over the culinary arts. I will be able to witness Mr. Inagaki's unique aesthetic early in the new year.
"This is a lucky start to the year, with good wine too."

"Abstraction and Form"
It's a bit of a distance, but we must make the trip to the museum.
