Moichi Kuwahara



Moichi Kuwahara
Selector, producer, and representative of Club King. He managed the Japanese edition of U.S. "Rolling Stone" from its first issue in 1973, produced "Snake Man Show" in 1977, performing with YMO, and began selecting music for "Comme des Garçons" fashion shows that same year. In 1982, he opened "Pithecanthropus," Japan's first club, in Harajuku. In 1989, he launched the free paper "dictionary," and in 1996, he started "club radio dictionary" on Tokyo's SHIBUYA FM. Following 9.11 in 2001, he participated in "Non-War," curated by Ryuichi Sakamoto and suspeace, which led him to develop "Comedy Club King (CCKing)," expressing his unique worldview through comedy. He currently produces free papers, web content, podcasts, community radio, TV programs, mobile content, video expressions, comedy live shows, and the overarching web platform "Media Club King." His activities continue with the aim of creating alternative media for those living with LOVE & PEACE.
