A Colorful 30 Minutes Packed with Asian Flavors
Sunday evenings, a precious time of one's own, flowing gently with exquisite music, is a moment of bliss for adults. Delivering such a rich experience is the radio program "TOKYO MOON" by DJ Toshio Matsuura.──Every Sunday, he broadcasts a selection of wonderful music from around the world and topics to stimulate intellectual curiosity for adults, from 7 PM on Inter FM 76.1MHz. Here, we present the program as it airs each week. This week, we offered a lively selection, from funky tracks brimming with Asian flair to a talked-about mix of Tatsuro Yamashita's work remixed for dancing by a European DJ.

From Japanese-German Beatmakers to Tatsuro Yamashita!
This episode kicked off with a mysterious, downbeat track reminiscent of a kung fu movie soundtrack, from an unreleased album by Japanese-German beatmaker Samon Kawamura, who is based in Berlin. We also featured funky tracks with an Asian feel from Budamunk and Tucker, who have just released their album.

From the first half, where I felt the global music trend shifting from African to Asian sounds unearthed by DJs and producers worldwide, through the middle section of colorful instrumental numbers by two new-generation sound creators from Switzerland and Japan, to the final part where we introduced a talked-about dance edit by a European DJ of a 1977 rare groove track produced by Tatsuro Yamashita and performed by Kimiko Kasai, a pioneer of Japanese female jazz singers, and his own 1982 work, I believe it was quite a lively selection.
