Moichi KUWAHARA




Moichi Kuwahara
Selector, producer, and representative of Club King. He managed the Japanese edition of U.S. "Rolling Stone" from its first issue in 1973, produced "Snake Man Show" in 1977, performing with YMO, and began selecting music for "Comme des Garçons" fashion shows the same year. In 1982, he opened "Pithecanthropus," Japan's first club, in Harajuku. In 1989, he launched the free paper "dictionary," and in 1996, he started "club radio dictionary" on Shibuya FM in Tokyo. Prompted by 9/11 in 2001, he participated in "Hi-Sen" (Non-War), supervised by Ryuichi Sakamoto and suspeace, which led him to develop "Comedy Club King (CCKing)," expressing his unique worldview through comedy. Currently, he produces free papers, websites, podcasts, community radio, TV, mobile sites, visual expressions, comedy live events, and the overarching web media "Media Club King," striving to be an alternative media for those living with LOVE & PEACE.
