This Week's TOKYO MOON: More Danceable Than Usual

This time, we introduce a 2009 work from France, featuring cinematic tracks alongside Jamie Woon, the British singer-songwriter known from post-dubstep to the pop scene, much like James Blake.

Also featured are a jazz number by Los Angeles vocalist Nailah Porter, who I recently encountered in southern Italy as a guest vocalist for Nicola Conte, remixed for dancing by French DJ Simbad, who is based in the UK. And then there's the Kenyan-British Afro band Owiny Sigoma Band, with whom I shared a stage at a festival in southern France in July, further re-imagined into a more danceable form by UK artist Quantic, who resides in Colombia and also participated in the festival. These are some of the interestingly arranged tracks I've picked.

And then there's Dutch artist Martyn, who absorbs all kinds of dance music to create his own unique bass music, and whose album is soon to be released. This week's mix is more danceable than usual.
