Diary-T 104: Principle - Kenichiro Mogi
"If you live with principles, you will never lose your way in life." (Jiro Shirasu)
This is a phrase that often comes up in conversations with Mogi-san. I finally understood its meaning recently.
I'm thinking of cutting up famous quotes from books written by Mogi-san and playing around with them.
Before I know it, this is leading to the development of a new app.
It's almost within reach, so close that I can almost touch it,
but this is where perseverance is key.
That's right, I need to call Kishimoto-kun, who has returned to London...
Yes, and although I haven't read it yet, this might be suitable for Twitter.
Famous Quotes for Mind and Brain: To Measure Words, by Kenichiro Mogi
"Even if the world were to end tomorrow, today you would plant an apple tree." (Kenzaburo Oe)
"Where sentimentality is feared, there is no sincerity or earnestness." (Michizo Tachihara)
"To renew joy, one needs sadness; to renew faith, one needs doubt."
(Hideo Kobayashi)
"Humans can only do their best within the circumstances they find themselves in, can't they?"
(Yasujiro Ozu)
"I have to keep winning in order to be myself." (Yutaka Ozaki)
"If you live with principles, you will never lose your way in life." (Jiro Shirasu)
"Only goodbyes are the essence of life." (Masuji Ibuse)
This book explores words that support and encourage us through life's difficulties,
and is an essay collection by a leading neuroscientist on what "insights" can be found within them.
In an era where the development of media such as the internet and mobile phones has led to an overflow of words,
through 18 exquisite words left by people of various eras, ages, and positions,
it is a volume that allows us to rediscover the inherent "power" of words.
You are sure to find a "single phrase" that will change your life!
The above is from the Amazon introduction page.
