Diary-T 65: Ammonia Night
I’m experiencing a refreshing pleasure after a long time.
Meeting someone with whom I could finally have sex after a long hiatus,
and truly enjoying it. Or,
reaching the summit of Mount Everest, a lifelong dream. Or,
finally saving 100 million yen after a life devoid of joy.
Everyone has their own unique pleasures, I suppose,
but for me, it’s always about the music selection.
A good selection means I’ve expelled a year’s worth of… well, let’s just say, pent-up energy.
There’s a reason for such a crude analogy. Yes, yes, yes,
the theme for this selection is “Dance to Latin!”
Dance! Dance! You, just dance!
This means discarding all intellectual thought, experience, and the lingering impurities around them.
Get rid of all that clutter, it’s just in the way.
Therefore, the music selector
must approach this with a wild, hairy, incandescent energy, like a wolf howling at the full moon.
Otherwise, the selection won’t work. And no one will dance. It won’t be fun at all, of course.
It risks becoming a boring, crap selection.
It’s a steep, incompetent journey into the unknown, with no clear destination.
Plunging into the darkness of unseen anxieties within a dense fog.
The pleasure of breaking through that darkness cannot be surpassed, even with a hundred attempts.
I’m exaggerating a little.
Ahhh, this is the best!! Such exhilaration is rare indeed.
Get drunk, my friends. Listen up!! PIRATE RADIO, next Tuesday, June 14th, from 11 PM.
Does it ring a bell? Orquesta Érotica & Las Titis’s “Ammonia Night”
Or, Shinichi Koga’s MAMBO MADNESS.
