Delivering such a rich experience is DJToshio Matsuura's radio program, TOKYO MOON.──He broadcasts carefully selected wonderful music from around the world and intellectually stimulating topics for adults every Sunday from 7 PM on Inter FM 76.1MHz. A 30-Minute Sound Kaleidoscope Fusing Funky Grooves with a Fantastical World
This episode opens with "Nu Soul Makossa," a remake of Cameroonian saxophonist Manu Dibango's 1972 hit, featuring beautiful vocal arrangements by the French sister duo Les Nubians. The first half grooves with afro-funk from Australia's The Liberators and the UK's The New Mastersounds, followed by old and new funky soul from Brother Williams and Phil Asher, found on a minor Miami label. The latter half shifts gears dramatically, presenting the Balearic soundscape of Germany's acclaimed DJ/producer duo Prommer & Barck, who have been generating buzz even before their release, and concluding with a jazzy house track. Overall, the selections are vibrant and evocative of spring.
