Spring Approaches, Jazz That Lifts the Spirit
On a Sunday night, your own time flows leisurely with exquisite music, a moment of bliss for adults. Delivering such a rich experience is the radio program "TOKYO MOON" by DJToshio Matsuura—. Each Sunday, he broadcasts carefully selected music from around the world and topics that stimulate intellectual curiosity for adults, from 7 PM on Inter FM 76.1MHz. Here, we present the program as it airs each week. This week, with the eagerly awaited spring just around the corner—, I've chosen tracks with that image in mind.

Talented Artist Maki Mannami x Jacob Collier: Latest Album Spotlight

Raphael
This time, we introduce "Pilot" (released March 16), an album created by Maki Mannami—a talented artist with multifaceted skills as a vocalist, pianist, composer, and dancer—in collaboration with composer and pianist Jacob Koller.
We also feature "Naima," a masterpiece by jazz giant John Coltrane, who would have celebrated his 85th birthday this year, and a modal number with an oriental mood from the tabula and saxophone, released by the label run by LA's genius Flying Lotus, who also hosted the genius pianist Austin Peralta. Peralta, who debuted at just 15 in 2006, released an album last year.
And from a cult classic recorded in Belgium in 1972, featuring a female scat that sounds as fresh as if it were made today, with a beauty as striking as a film score, we play a cover of Joe Jackson's 1982 hit "Steppin' Out." We also feature a romantic track by a new romantic artist from Brazil who debuted in London. With the eagerly awaited spring just around the corner—, I've chosen tracks with that image in mind.
