A Cover of a Spiritual Jazz Masterpiece, Uncut and First in the World!

Masato Nakamura, known for his work with MONDO GROSSO and Sleep Walker, is a saxophonist who has continued to be active both domestically and internationally. From his first solo album, scheduled for release this autumn and produced by London-based DJ and producer Patrick Forge, we premiere a cover of Albert Ayler's spiritual jazz masterpiece "Music Is The Healing Force Of The Universe" (1969). This nearly 13-minute rendition is broadcast uncut, and it's the first time it's been heard anywhere in the world. I believe it offered a cool-down with its profound music on this midsummer night. As soon as the full details of the album, still shrouded in mystery, are revealed, I plan to introduce it on the program again.

TOKYO MOON Selections by the Poolside on a Summer Night

Hotel New Otani, a renowned luxury hotel representing Tokyo, is situated in the heart of the city. Its expansive grounds feature a pool that has been a true urban oasis for me, a place I've visited regularly since the 1980s. For the past six years, during the evening hours, DJs have regularly played music here, transforming it into a popular adult night lounge known as "Night Time Pool." This year, the focus is on even more relaxed music, with the aim of allowing guests to enjoy summer nights with cocktails in hand. I'll be playing on August 21st (Saturday) as part of the "TOKYO MOON" poolside edition. I sincerely hope you'll join me for a wonderful time. I look forward to seeing you there.
