The Latest Collection, Interpreted Through Unique Lenses
Nicolas Ghesquière's first advertising campaign for Louis Vuitton, "SERIES 1," was a trilogy captured by photographers Annie Leibovitz, Juergen Teller, and Bruce Weber, generating considerable buzz. It recently won the award for Best Advertising Campaign at the British Fashion Awards.
This second installment goes beyond a mere continuation. The three masters have further explored visual expression, interpreting the Spring/Summer 2015 collection through their distinct perspectives. While maintaining the concept of contrasting each photographer's style, the campaign presents a diverse range of visuals that express fashion on an international scale, through the chosen locations and the artists' individual visions.
Louis Vuitton SERIES 2 Fashion Campaign starring Jennifer Connelly directed by Bruce Weber
Annie Leibovitz photographed Freja Beha on the rooftops of three buildings under construction in New York. The unique vantage point overlooking Central Park seems to resonate with the collection's blend of accessible wardrobe pieces and innovative savoir-faire.
Juergen Teller captured Jean Campbell, Liana Van Roonpuy, Daphne Simmonds, and Marte Van Haaster in a room characterized by aristocratic French interiors in Paris. The dimly lit setting with black walls creates a visual dissonance between the everyday and the extraordinary.
Bruce Weber shot the House's new heroine, Jennifer Connelly, in Miami. The resulting realistic visuals capture the interplay of light and shadow, merging with her silhouette.
The visuals and film for this new campaign can be viewed on the official Louis Vuitton website, the "Louis Vuitton PASS" app, and official social media channels.
