Chanel's New Short Film Premieres
Ahead of the Chanel Métiers d'Art collection in Salzburg on December 2nd (Tuesday), a short film starring Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne was screened last night, the eve of the event.

On December 1st, the eve of the 2014/15 Paris-Salzburg Métiers d'Art collection in Salzburg, Austria, Karl Lagerfeld presented his short film "Reincarnation."
Inspired by episodes from the life of Gabrielle Chanel, the film features a stellar cast including Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams, alongside Geraldine Chaplin as Gabrielle Chanel. Pharrell not only stars in the film but also wrote and composed the original song "CC The World."
"This film could not have been completed without the collaboration of Cara Delevingne, Geraldine Chaplin, and above all, Pharrell Williams. The casting was truly perfect. Pharrell is a genius, and Geraldine brilliantly portrayed Gabrielle Chanel making her comeback to the fashion world," Karl commented.

The short film draws inspiration from an encounter Gabrielle Chanel had with an elevator boy during a holiday at a hotel in the suburbs of Salzburg in 1954. The jacket worn by the elevator boy at that time is said to be the origin of the Chanel jacket. Incidentally, Pharrell plays the role of this elevator boy.
