Concrete x Sequins: Chanel
Autumn/Winter 2014 Haute Couture Collection. Chanel's show was set in a room inspired by a 20th-century Parisian apartment. The monochrome dresses featured motifs crafted from concrete, embellished with sequins and crystals. The little dresses were paired with cycling shorts visible below the knee, and thong sandals. This collection connected Coco Chanel's 20th-century legacy to 21st-century elegance.
Real Couture Worn with Flat Shoes: Valentino
Valentino presented modern dresses with beautiful draping, cinched with bandage-like belts. The asymmetrical bias-cut dresses were simple yet bold. All were styled with flat shoes. This collection reinterpreted classic designs into truly wearable couture.
Black, White, and Red Elegance: Armani Privé
Armani Privé rejuvenated its look with tailored jackets featuring rounded shoulders, paired with mini skirts or shorts. A lacquer-inspired red served as an accent color, while evening gowns were lavishly adorned with feathers and organza.
Sensual Dresses Bared on Bare Legs: Atelier Versace
Atelier Versace showcased sensual dresses with daring cuts and asymmetrical silhouettes. Deep necklines and long skirts with high slits revealed one leg entirely, leaving the other bare. Versace's signature sexy lines were emphasized by patent leather and gold belts, and corsetry.
