Christian Louboutin has unveiled its new Autumn/Winter 2014 bags, the 'Passage' and 'Rougissime'. This elegant and feminine handbag series blends modern and classic styles.

An Homage to Paris's 'Passage des Panoramas'

The new bag, named 'Passage', is a collection inspired by Paris's historic arcade, the Galerie Vivienne. The Galerie Vivienne is also known as 'Passage des Panoramas', and it's where Christian Louboutin's flagship store opened at the end of 1991.

The new series, inspired by the Passage des Panoramas, a place of special significance to the brand, features a curved metal handle that evokes the wrought-iron archway of the Galerie Vivienne's entrance.

The polished metal handle is delicately engraved with the logo, adding a detail that recalls the brand's signature red sole. A charm in the motif of the red sole adorns the zipper pull. In Japan, it is available in two styles: the Messenger and the Mini Messenger. With a detachable strap, it can be worn over the shoulder or as a crossbody bag. Furthermore, the interior is divided into three compartments, with a zip in the center, ensuring excellent functionality.

Additionally, the 'Rougissime' series, a sister to the 'Passage', has also been introduced. This series is offered as an elegant clutch bag and wallet. The closure is a magnetic metal bar, and like the 'Passage', it features red enamel details. The clutch bag comes with a mirror in a leather case.

The 'Passage' and 'Rougissime' are crafted from the finest materials, including soft calfskin of the same quality as the shoes, leather with a beautiful grain, lizard, and haircalf. The color palette includes black, navy, red, vibrant purple, papaya, orange, and animal prints. They are scheduled to be released in mid-July at Christian Louboutin boutiques.

To commemorate this launch, a launch party was held on Friday, July 11th, at the Christian Louboutin Aoyama store. Model Jessica Michibata, a close friend of designer Christian Louboutin, hosted an exclusive party decorated with a stunning bouquet.
