Women's Denim Brands Leading the Autumn/Winter Season
In anticipation of the upcoming Autumn/Winter season, global deliveries of seasonal items have begun. For JOURNAL STANDARD Women, the season's theme is "SUPER COOL." While drawing inspiration from men's silhouettes and materials, the collection introduces variations in fabric and sizing, expressing a simple yet playful attitude.
Furthermore, the sub-theme proposes "GRUNGE CHIC," which adds sophisticated and chic items to grunge fashion. This playful styling, mixing contrasting elements, promises to make fashion even more enjoyable.
Denim is indispensable in embodying this mood. Let's introduce some noteworthy brands.

First, we have JOURNAL STANDARD's original line. This season's designs are characterized by an 80s-inspired aesthetic, such as oversized silhouettes. The exaggerated forms serve as excellent accents for any outfit. Then there's "RtA," which launched in LA in Autumn 2013. With its cool and stylish designs, including unique holster belt-like elements on the front, it's set to be an essential brand for embracing a grunge look.
Additionally, we have the premium denim brand "MOTHER," renowned for its soft, "cashmere-like" feel. This brand, making its debut at JOURNAL STANDARD, offers modern and sexy designs that are indispensable for expressing "SUPER COOL."
While each brand has its own distinct direction, they all serve as excellent spices for any outfit. This season, conquer fresh styles with denim that makes a statement.
A Special Order of the Beloved Classic Model, Updated After Approximately One Year
NEW BALANCE × JOURNAL STANDARD
Among NEW BALANCE's extensive sneaker lineup, the "996" stands out as an iconic model of the late 1980s. It was the first to incorporate "ENCAP," a mid-sole structure offering superior stability and cushioning, ahead of the "M1500," and was favored by many runners. It has since gained popularity as a fashion item and remains a rare model in continuous production today.
In 2013, celebrating its 25th anniversary, this legendary model received an updated mid-sole structure. It was equipped with "REVLITE," a lightweight mid-sole technology used in performance running shoes, enhancing cushioning and durability while enabling lighter movement.
The special order model from JOURNAL STANDARD featured here boasts a premium nubuck upper combined with breathable mesh, and a leather "N" logo. Based on a deep navy hue, it features a white sole and a red logo on the heel, creating a tricolor effect. Available in both men's and women's sizes.
Items from "Mo’Wax," the Record Label That Defined 1990s Club Scene, Have Arrived
museum neu

"museum neu" is a project that reinterprets artists and creators who have shaped various eras through their music, presenting them as contemporary products and pure art. The first installment of this collaborative project with JOURNAL STANDARD for Autumn/Winter 2014 is the record label "Mo’Wax." Founded in 1992 by James Lavelle at the young age of 19, it's a prestigious label that released works by artists such as UNKLE, DJ SHADOW, Money Mark, DJ KRUSH, and Tommy Guerrero. It was a driving force in 1990s UK club music, influencing numerous DJs and artists in Japan. Currently, its influence extends beyond music to art and fashion culture, offering diverse perspectives. T-shirts printed with graphics from this popular label shine anew amidst the 1990s revival.
These items are scheduled to be available at JOURNAL STANDARD stores nationwide (select locations only). They will arrive in late August, with special corners set up.
