Isabel Marant Designs Racquets for Traditional Israeli Sport

A year after the Isabel Marant and Heritage Paris collaboration skateboards were released last summer, the two have reunited to design racquets and balls for "Matkot," a traditional sport originating in Israel.

This year, the collaboration features "Matkot," a traditional Israeli sport where players hit a rubber ball with wooden racquets. Matkot, known for its light, rhythmic 'con-con' sound during play, is a popular beach sport centered in Tel Aviv, Israel, appealing for its simplicity – all that's needed are racquets and a ball.

The collection includes a set with racquets, a ball, and an original carrying case. The racquets, crafted from black-dyed birch wood, and the laser-engraved rubber balls are all made in Paris. Both the racquet faces and the balls feature Isabel Marant's iconic character "Mr.Hatman" alongside simple typography.

The grips, made of black leather, are accented with Heritage Paris's signature tricolor ribbon. The two racquets can be tied together with this ribbon and hung on a hook, making them a stylish decorative piece. They are currently available at select boutiques worldwide, including in Japan.
