Shirts Praised by California Celebrities

Frank & Eileen

Frank & Eileen was born in LA in 2009 with the desire to recreate the comfortable shirts worn by the designer Audrey McLoghlin's Irish grandparents. The fabrics are sourced from a venerable Italian manufacturer with over 130 years of history, reflecting the brand's roots. Uniquely, the brand name comes from Audrey McLoghlin's grandparents, and the year '1947' on the tag marks their wedding year. It’s a fusion of West Coast American fashion sensibilities with the traditional shirtmaking techniques that existed in her grandparents' generation. This sensibility resonates with the current mood.

An Emerging Brand Leading Surf Culture

Love Design Initiative (LVDI)

The Brand's Signature Surf Shorts
“THE CIGAR”

Love Design Initiative (LVDI) was founded in 2011 by Benjamin Wright, a film director and fashion designer, and Jack Fearon, a furniture designer and surfer. Previously involved in gallery operations, the brand has quickly become a significant presence, particularly within the surf scene.

The surf shorts named “THE CIGAR” propelled them to fame. The outer layer is made of water-repellent nylon oxford, while the inner lining uses polyester stretch material, offering excellent waterproofing, quick-drying, and breathability. With built-in liners, they support active movement in the water and on the beach. The subtle bi-color design also lends a sophisticated impression for town wear. While knee-length shorts are popular, these offer a distinct fashion item. The collection also includes sweatshirts and T-shirts that evoke a surf vibe while maintaining an elegant aesthetic. Beyond fashion, they are also involved in creative activities such as photography, film, art, and music, drawing attention as a creative collective shaping new culture. With water-friendly shorts being a key trend this season, if you're looking for bottoms that offer both functionality and style, surf shorts are a top contender.
