Minimalist Backdrops Highlight Texture and Color

Louis VuittonNicolas Ghesquière has been appointed the new Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton's Women's Collection. His highly anticipated debut women's collection was presented in Paris this March. He is a photographer with a wide range of expression, from provocative and bold advertising works to family portraits that capture the natural essence of his subjects.



This lookbook, shot by Juergen Teller, uses minimalist backdrops to emphasize the texture and color of the materials, expressing the inherent quality of the items. The models, with their impassive expressions, convey their raw, unvarnished selves through his lens.
