Andreas Melbostad, originally from Norway, has been appointed Creative Director for the womenswear collection. Starting with the Autumn/Winter 2013 season, collections will feature a blend of his refined, urban style and DIESEL BLACK GOLD's rock-chic aesthetic.

At this February's New York Fashion Week,DIESEL BLACK GOLD 2013-14 AUTUMN & WINTER COLLECTIONnew Creative Director Andreas Melbostad made a dazzling debut. This season, inspired by the atmosphere of old gas stations and the thrill of engine speed, he presented a cool, high-octane collection exuding strength, confidence, and sexiness, all under the theme "The Maximum Velocity of DIESEL BLACK GOLD."

Melbostad began his design career at Nicole Farhi in London. In Paris, he contributed to collections for Guy Laroche and Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche under Alber Elbaz. His extensive experience also includes roles at numerous brands such as Nina Ricci, Donna Karan, and Calvin Klein, as well as serving as Creative Director for Phi. Most recently, he has been based in New York, consulting for various brands.
