The 'Noé' was conceived in 1932 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the third-generation head of the House, as a bag to carry champagne bottles. Since its creation, its soft, classical form has been cherished for decades, appearing in supple Monogram canvas in 1959 and Epi leather in 1986. It quickly became a fashion icon for women worldwide and is now one of Louis Vuitton's signature classic pieces. It's also interesting to note that the name 'Noé' is said to be derived from Noah, a biblical figure who, after the Great Flood, planted grapes on Mount Ararat and created the first wine.

Now, based on the 'Noé,' a mini size, the 'Noé BB,' has been born, reborn with an even more stylish flair. Happily, it has been decided that this new model will be released in Japan first, ahead of its global launch in May, on Friday, March 29, 2013.

The 'Noé BB' retains its charming silhouette with a cinched opening, but is notably smaller than previous 'Noé' models. The long strap allows it to be worn comfortably as a crossbody bag. Available in Monogram canvas and Damier Azur, the Epi line comes in five vibrant colors, offering a rich selection. Prices are ¥107,100 for Monogram canvas and Damier Azur, and ¥140,700 for the Epi line.
