Soft Masculine Coordination to Enhance Your Beauty
"I'm drawn to elegant, soft masculine styles. This season's masculine look incorporates feminine elements, which is key. It's about expressing mannish items with a feminine silhouette," says Yukari Okutani, Chief Buyer at ESTNATION.
Okutani proposes soft masculine coordination that enhances a woman's beauty. Here, she shares her techniques for blending seemingly contradictory images.
—What are the must-have items for this season's coat styles?
For voluminous tops, minimal simple knits, cropped pants, and essential accessories like big clutch bags and pointed pumps... I choose items that, within a sharp silhouette, subtly reveal a feminine touch. This season, I personally want a big clutch bag!!
—What are your styling tips?
For a classic trench coat, opt for one with volume. Keep the rest of the outfit compact and finish with a belt to create a sleek, sophisticated look. I've incorporated feminine touches throughout with accessories and color choices. The sharp shoulders and pumps exude the poise of a mature woman who wears them with cool confidence.
This season's must-have knit coat, comfortable and enveloping, emphasizes a relaxed feel. I want to enjoy a thoroughly masculine coordination with a loose silhouette. While each item, like the side-gore booties and hat, is menswear-inspired, they paradoxically enhance femininity.
