Burberry's September Collection

Global "SHOP THE SHOW NOW IN STORE"

Burberry has announced its "September Collection," which simultaneously presents runway looks and in-store merchandise. This season features 83 looks inspired by "genderless, seasonless" aesthetics.

"We want people to feel closer to the fashion show," said CEO and Chief Marketing Officer Christopher Bailey. The next collection, the "February Collection," is scheduled to present the Spring/Summer 2017 collection in February.

Simultaneous Womenswear and Menswear Presentation, Global See Now Buy Now

This is the Spring/Summer 2017 London Collection. Burberry, which is quickly implementing a global "See Now Buy Now" strategy, named its Autumn/Winter offerings the "September Collection," now available in stores. The womenswear and menswear collections were presented simultaneously, comprising a grand total of 83 looks.

The collection, themed around "home," blends cultural elements and attire from different eras. Military-inspired jackets are paired with silk pajama pants, and dresses featuring vintage wallpaper prints are layered with gown coats. A mix of colors, patterns, and materials creates new layered styles.

Voluminous tops, such as mutton-sleeve blousons and sweatshirts, offer a fresh silhouette. The same items appear in both the womenswear and menswear lines. A key coordinating piece, the ruffled white blouse, adds a touch of aristocratic flair. The craftsmanship, evident in lace and embroidery, lends a refined quality to the otherwise relaxed styling.

The show was held in an old house, the former site of a cultural salon since the 1920s. Artisans from the British artist collective "The New Craftsmen" demonstrated their skills on the first floor, while the collection was presented on the second.

As the 7:30 PM show concluded, the curtains on the boutique windows were drawn back, revealing the very pieces just seen. The store remained bustling with customers well past the 9:00 PM closing time, thanks to the "SHOP THE SHOW NOW IN STORE" initiative.
