Japan-Themed "GIVENCHY ESSENTIALS" Launches Globally First in Japan
Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci has announced a limited-edition collection, "GIVENCHY ESSENTIALS," inspired by Japan. It will be available for pre-launch worldwide starting Wednesday, September 7th, at a limited-time store in Isetan Shinjuku.

A First Basic Concept Focused on Detail
Riccardo Tisci, Creative Director of the French haute couture maison Givenchy, has unveiled "GIVENCHY ESSENTIALS," a limited-edition collection that marks his first focus on a basic line.
From Wednesday, September 7th to Tuesday, September 13th, the collection will be available for pre-launch worldwide at Isetan Shinjuku's Main Building 1F The Stage and Men's Building 1F Promotion spaces. The Main Building's The Stage will feature a striking event space with red tiles, showcasing the women's essentials collection in key colors of black, white, and pink, alongside the colorful iconic "HORIZON" bags. Additionally, mini and nano sizes of the "Horizon" bag will make their global debut at Isetan Shinjuku.
This limited-edition collection represents the first basic concept to focus on the signature details that have become synonymous with Givenchy. It merges the maison's enduring elegance with Riccardo Tisci's signature street and mode sensibility, embodying the strong and elegant modern Japanese woman. Featuring elements like the brand's classic baby's breath print, ruffle jackets, and bow-tie blouses, alongside details such as pearl studs on the shoes, the lineup is designed for easy integration into daily life. The collection's designs, strongly influenced by the Japanese market, and the adoption of Asian fits, ensure practicality for Japanese women to wear day and night.
The men's collection features Givenchy Black alongside red as the main color, symbolizing luck in Asia and passion in Europe. Strongly expressing Tisci's affection for Japan, items incorporate red dots inspired by the Japanese flag and the direct, powerful message 'I FEEL LOVE JAPAN'.
The tailored jackets feature a red accent color on the Madonna collar, and red metal stiffeners are used in the shirt collars. This powerful lineup expresses Givenchy's signature urban aesthetic through a black and red color palette. The collection also prominently features Givenchy's characteristic band motifs and stars.
From the already buzzworthy new "Horizon" icon bag, two new sizes will be introduced: the "Mini," perfect for crossbody wear, and the "Nano," a pochette size. These will be available for pre-launch worldwide at the limited-time "GIVENCHY ESSENTIALS" store. The newly announced "Horizon" series will feature over 30 variations in size and color, including a Japan-exclusive pink.
For men's leather goods, bags and shoes express a strong impact and urbanity through key colors of black and red. The collection includes backpacks with star motifs, leather slip-ons, and leather pouches featuring the striking 'I FEEL LOVE JAPAN' message. Additionally, Isetan Shinjuku will exclusively offer numerous items such as backpacks with the baby's breath print and leather Nightingale bags.
