LOUIS VUITTON has chosen pop icon and beloved singer and actress Selena Gomez as the ultimate heroine for its 2016-17 Autumn/Winter collection advertising campaign, "SERIES 5."




The visuals, masterfully captured by renowned fashion photographer Bruce Weber, create a symphony, portraying the diverse characters Nicolas Ghesquière envisioned for his heroines.

The campaign was shot in Miami, a familiar and cherished location for Bruce Weber. Selena Gomez embodies the star of the Autumn/Winter collection, leading a group of women on a determined journey of adventure.

Initially, Weber intended to feature the heroine on a boat. However, after observing the boat being transported to the pier, he spontaneously decided to shoot it as is. This unexpected turn created a unique dissonance in the imagery, where the incongruous atmosphere paradoxically fostered a vibrant purity.



Nicolas Ghesquière expressed his respect for Bruce Weber, stating, "He is not only a talented photographer but a true director of images." Regarding Gomez, he added, "She is an icon for her generation, possessing a charming sincerity and a genuine presence. She is a very honest and grounded woman. She is spontaneous and always seeking to discover new things. Two years ago, Selena approached me casually and naturally, and now I am watching her evolve and grow.
