Take Your Chanel Luggage on Your Next Journey

In Chanel's 2016 Spring/Summer Ready-to-Wear collection, Karl Lagerfeld garnered attention by diversifying travel-related goods. Vanity cases are now small, feminine day bags, and evening bags are miniature versions of trolley cases. The black resin cases are covered in quilted leather, complete with miniature wheels.

Lagerfeld remarked, "We travel more now. So, why shouldn't we have Chanel luggage?" He depicted various scenes of travelers at the airport, ready to depart with "CHANEL AIRLINES." Travelers are seen holding travel bags and handbags crafted from tweed, quilting, and chains rendered in silicone. Layered, expanded, miniaturized, and enlarged, these pieces illustrate a new look that is both modern and versatile.

This season, the iconic "11.12" handbag is reimagined as an XXL weekend bag. Chanel's iconic bag is transformed for travel with tweed, quilting, and rhinestone airplane embroidery. The "Coco Case" trolley features a new design with an extendable handle emerging from a flat zipper pocket on the back, available in diamond and herringbone quilted leather, tweed, and alligator. It's a completely new style of suitcase, proposing a layered look by stacking multiple bags.

Lagerfeld also presented suits with all characteristic details, such as pockets, buttons, and braiding, removed. The "Absolute" handbag, with its straight lines and boxy structure, is designed to complement these exceptionally smart silhouettes.

There are also weekend bags and bowling bags in quilted leather in gray, the color of aircraft fuselages. This simple, lightweight, and arm-free travel style embodies the very philosophy of Gabrielle Chanel. The new handbags and travel bags from the 2016 Spring/Summer collection express a completely new, modern travel style and a true art of living. Available in the 2016 Spring/Summer Ready-to-Wear collection.
