The Epitome of French Chic: Inspired by Jane Birkin's Wardrobe

"Jane & Serge A family Album," photographed by Andrew Birkin, Jane's elder brother, captures 12 years of their lives as a family, from Serge Gainsbourg and Jane's collaboration to the birth of their daughter, Charlotte.

The book, which begins on Jane's 16th birthday and includes a snapshot of Charlotte and Serge in 1979, is filled with intimate, private moments unique to a family. The design was handled by M/M (Paris), a creative unit active in diverse fields from fashion to art, and comes with treasure-box-like extras. It's a special edition featuring a contact sheet booklet, a folded poster, five photographs, a sticker sheet, and a patch.


Deuxième Classe is launching a special project in collaboration with this photo album. The collection includes the "Jane & Serge A family Album" itself, six styles of photo t-shirts printed with select images from the album, and a trench coat, shirt, and striped t-shirt inspired by Jane Birkin's wardrobe. A portion of the proceeds from this collaboration will be donated to "ANNO'S AFRICA," an organization supporting children in Africa, hosted by Andrew Birkin.

Additionally, Deuxième Classe Roppongi store will host a photo exhibition of "Jane & Serge A family Album." Inside the store, a virtual booth will allow visitors to experience a time slip into Jane Birkin's home in the 1970s.
