Sabine Pigalle: A Visionary of Our Time

Sabine Pigalle, born in France in 1963, studied literature at the Sorbonne before entering the world of fashion photography. She apprenticed for four years under Helmut Newton, who was active at British Vogue. Currently, she works as a visual artist, primarily using photography as her medium.

Her artistic practice reinterprets "religion," "mythology," and the "collective unconscious" through portrait photography. Her unique worldview, which combines Renaissance portraiture with contemporary photography to express the complex layers of time, is captivating.

This collaboration came about through her frequent visits to Jacques's atelier during her time as a fashion journalist, where she assisted in his creative process. The special "Lisbon" bag, featuring a tricolor motif and using artwork specially created for the "Traveling JACQUES LE CORRE" campaign as its main visual, will be released in limited quantities.
