Launched in 2008 as Diesel's contemporary line, DIESEL BLACK GOLD commands a unique presence at the NY Collections. The brand now offers a full range of items, including accessories like shoes and bags.
The appointment of Greek designer Sophia Kokosalaki, renowned for designing the costumes for the Athens Olympics opening ceremony, as womenswear designer for the Autumn/Winter 2010 season generated significant buzz. She presents a luxurious, classic style utilizing high-quality materials.
In today's increasingly complex world, it is time to look back and reflect.──From this perspective, this season focuses on "light" and its sources.
Silhouettes are relaxed and allow for ample movement, while high-tech fabrics, industrial details, and metal hardware express a sense of protection. The reflection of shattered mirrors brought light to the venue and the runway.
Furthermore, Diesel's signature authentic denim is updated with poetic, metallic urban nuances, creating a fresh impression.

For this collection, Guido led the hair styling and Pat McGrath was in charge of makeup.
Shiny styles and makeup that effectively utilizes light reflection create new expressions of beauty. Luxurious materials like leather and silk satin, along with punk-inspired elements such as zip details, captured attention for both menswear and womenswear.

Diesel founder and president Renzo Rosso warmly welcomed the attending celebrities, fostering a convivial atmosphere amidst the pre-show tension.
Attendees included Scottish actor Gerard Butler, known for films like "300" and "The Bounty Hunter"; French actress Léa Seydoux; singer Oh Land; and socialite Alexandra Richards, daughter of The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards.
Many top models also graced the front row, adding to the glamour of the collection venue.
