JAM HOME MADE (ジャムホームメイド) introduces a new collection item in collaboration with Disney, following the Cinderella series. The "Stitch Heritage Ring," a Hawaiian jewelry piece inspired by "Lilo & Stitch," a story depicting the bond between an alien and a girl set in Hawaii, will be released on Saturday, March 5th. Lilo, a lonely girl living with her older sister in Kauai, Hawaii, after losing her parents, and Stitch, an alien who doesn't know love, created through genetic experiments, end up living together by chance. However, Stitch, unable to understand Lilo's affection, constantly causes trouble. This is a heartwarming story of how the two gradually open their hearts to each other, eventually becoming true ohana (family) who care for one another.──The new addition to JAM HOME MADE's bridal series is the "Stitch Heritage Ring." Inspired by the popular Disney film "Lilo & Stitch," it expresses the "mutual care" and "eternal bond" depicted in the story through Hawaiian jewelry, representative of Hawaii, the story's setting.

Hawaiian jewelry is said to have originated in the 19th century with a bracelet gifted by Liliuokalani, the last queen of the Hawaiian Kingdom, to her British tutor, engraved with "Aloha O`e (I give you my love)." In this context, it is formally known as "Hawaiian heirloom jewelry," passed down from parent to child, child to grandchild, or to a loved one, like a protective charm, along with cherished memories. Furthermore, it is believed that jewelry engraved with sacred Hawaiian motifs possesses the power to "draw hearts closer and convey feelings."

Not only the motif but also the shape holds meaning. The gentle arch, barrel-like shape of the "Stitch Heritage Ring" signifies the nurturing of gratitude and love. It is crafted through a special process, distinct from the two common methods used in ring making:──"Casting," where metal is melted and poured into a mold to cool and solidify, and "forging," where metal is shaped by hammering.

First, a highly durable metal is forged into a bar and then pressed into a plate. This process increases the internal density, enhancing its strength. The resulting plate is then die-cut into a washer shape, which is then curved into a ring using a press machine and polished with industrial diamonds to finish.
