Sustainable Aloha Shirts and Shorts Developed Jointly by Hawaii and BAYFLOW Released

The "WEAR ALOHA, SAVE ALOHA." project, a collaboration between Hawaii and three apparel companies, has launched its second phase with the release of Aloha shirts and shorts co-developed with BAYFLOW. These ethical items feature charming designs by Hawaiian artists.

Ethical Material "COTTON USA" Adopted for Fabric

The "WEAR ALOHA, SAVE ALOHA." project is being promoted as part of the Hawaii Tourism Authority's "Malama Hawaii - Travel Kindly to the Earth" campaign.

The project aims to raise awareness of environmental conservation by educating people about the environmental issues facing Hawaii and the local commitment to nature and conservation efforts through Aloha shirts, making it a more personal concern.

This project involves collaboration with three apparel brands to co-develop Aloha shirts embodying a message of environmental conservation for the summer.

Previously, in collaboration with BEAMS, the first phase, "Aloha Shirts That Change the Future," was developed and released.

As the second phase of the project, sustainable Aloha shirts and shorts have been created in collaboration with BAYFLOW, a lifestyle brand that proposes a seaside lifestyle.

The theme is "Environmental issues centered around the ocean." Two designs by Hawaii-based artists are available: one focusing on "coral bleaching" and another expressing "the circulation of water flowing from mountains and the land."

The fabric used is American cotton, certified with the "COTTON USA" mark, signifying stable quality and raw materials that have cleared strict regulations. In addition to its long, strong fibers, it is an environmentally conscious cotton cultivated through sustainable farming methods.

The Aloha shirts are available in sizes S, M, and L, and the shorts in S and M. The message conveyed through the pop and friendly designs is likely to resonate with a wide range of generations.
