Shop Theme: "Celebrate Originality"
Next year, 2009, will be a commemorative year, marking the 60th anniversary of the "Three Stripes," which became adidas's trademark in 1949.
"adidas Originals" offers a collection of both historically significant products, recreated as they were for athletes, and lines reimagined for current trends. A key feature is the use of the Trefoil (three-leaf) logo, which was used from 1972 to 1996, across all footwear, apparel, and accessories.
The "adidas Originals Shop Shinjuku" embodies the brand message of "Celebrate Originality." This direct-managed store proposes a unique adidas Originals style, offering a new world where customers can explore and enjoy self-expression. For its opening, the shop will feature limited-edition T-shirts and track tops designed by Creative Director Kazuki Kuraishi, along with products inspired by the 60th anniversary of the "Three Stripes" and the city of Shinjuku. (Limited quantities and select stores).
Furthermore, the "adidas Originals Shop Shinjuku" proudly presents Japan's first "Trefoil Wall." Composed of photo frames of various sizes, this Trefoil logo installation displays images of adidas's history, its athletes, and its latest campaigns. It also projects customers' own images, creating an original space where the brand's 60-year legacy intersects with the global community surrounding the Trefoil.
