Combining Sustainability with Refined Style
Nike's "Sustainable Footwear Collection," launching this summer, is defined by a new approach to color, construction, and materials. As the name suggests, the collection comprises items mindful of environmental sustainability.
Born from a desire to create color in a new way, the Nike Plant Color Collection, featuring models like the Nike Air Max 95 and Nike Blazer Low, utilizes plant-derived dyes.
Many of the collection's pieces incorporate artist Steve Harrington's aesthetic while using Nike's most sustainable materials, resulting in styles that are both eco-conscious and refined.
The "Nike Vapormax 2 Random," a model not released in Japan, places particular emphasis on sustainability, with its Air sole material composed of 75 percent recycled content.
Five models, excluding the "Nike Vapormax 2 Random," will be available throughout the Summer 2019 season.
