Film Starring Magic Johnson Launched

Founded in 1919 as the Knickerbocker Knitting Mills in Rochester, New York, Champion has become one of the world's leading athletic wear brands, recognized for its exceptional quality.

2019 marks the brand's 100th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, Champion is launching a campaign titled "100 Years for the Team." Through this initiative, the brand will connect with teams globally, sharing their passion for teamwork and the essence of team spirit.

Through the perspectives of teams, clubs, and groups worldwide, the campaign aims to redefine the meaning of "being a team."

Over the next year, the campaign will honor various teams through platforms such as social media, a dedicated website, limited-edition collections, events, and influencer partnerships. Select teams will also be featured in the 100th-anniversary global campaign video.

To kick off the campaign, Champion has released a film featuring basketball legend Magic Johnson, a figure who has personally experienced the power of teamwork. In the movie, he shares his insights on "what makes a great team."

This campaign invites user participation. Champion is encouraging teams worldwide to share their team stories on social media and the Champion website using the hashtag #Champion100.

Among the participating teams, a lucky few will be selected to win limited-edition collections or have their stories featured in the 100th-anniversary video and on Champion's official social media channels. We encourage everyone to join.
