Socks That Convey the Creators' "Commitment"
The first items in the "Fukuske × more trees" series are products designed by five individuals who support more trees: artist Mitsuo Shindo, stylist Tomoki Yuzuka, artist Itako Takahashi, designer Taishi Nobukuni, and illustrator Mick I. Itaya.
A portion of the sales will be donated to more trees and used for forest conservation activities. Currently, the scope of these activities extends globally, including contributions to forest projects in the Philippines, not just within Japan.
The socks announced this time are distinct from mere collaboration projects. Each creator meticulously checked samples and made improvements without compromise, resulting in a very high level of product perfection.
Some designs were repeatedly improved to capture the characteristics of the knit, while others express delicate illustrations through printing, resulting in finishes that convey the creators' genuine passion. Additionally, the packaging (header card) features a tag with basil seeds called "Eco-Tag." This tag can be planted directly in the soil to return to nature. Thus, new life is born from something that would normally be discarded.
The first series is scheduled to be launched as a Spring/Summer 2013 item. Starting with this, Fukuske plans to continue its collaborative projects with more trees. Please pay attention.
