Limited to 400 pieces per design.

Wojnarowicz passed away in 1992 at the age of 37 due to complications from AIDS. He moved to the East Village in Manhattan in 1978 and was a central figure in the vibrant local art scene.

To honor Wojnarowicz's great legacy, Loewe's Creative Director Jonathan Anderson initiated this project. Four of Wojnarowicz's works, created between 1982 and 1990, have been adopted as designs for the T-shirts.

These T-shirts, with 400 limited production pieces per design, will be available from early June in Japan at Loewe's Omotesando, Ginza, and Dover Street Market Ginza stores, as well as on LOEWE.COM.

All proceeds will be donated to Visual AIDS, an organization founded in 1988 to preserve and promote the work of HIV-positive artists, which raises AIDS awareness and supports artists living with HIV/AIDS through the exhibition and publication of visual arts.

Additionally, coinciding with this T-shirt project, the Loewe Foundation will host an exhibition of works by Wojnarowicz and his mentor, Peter Hujar. As part of the annual international photography festival "PHotoEspaña," the exhibition will be held from June 4th to August 26th at Loewe's Gran Vía store in Madrid.

Furthermore, on June 27th, a conversation between legendary New York art dealers Gracie Mansion and Fran Lebowitz is scheduled to take place at the Liria Palace in Madrid.
