A New Vision from a Designer Who Knows Eyewear Inside Out


Refined, Minimalist Style and Unparalleled Comfort


With a career spanning nearly two decades as an eyewear designer, Mr. Ikuya Enomoto has created approximately 3,000 designs for brands both in Japan and abroad. Now, he launches his own brand, "I.ENOMOTO," a venture long in the making. The collection will be available from December 1st.

After studying industrial design at Musashino Art University, Mr. Enomoto worked for an eyewear manufacturer in Fukui Prefecture before relocating to Milan, Italy, where he designed eyewear and sunglasses for the European market. In 2012, he established his design studio "ONLYGOODFORMS" in Tokyo, providing designs for numerous brands to date.


The concept behind "I.ENOMOTO" is "MODE AND CRAFT." "I'm drawn to timeless pieces with inherent quality," he states. His frames embody this philosophy, featuring minimalist designs free from bias and offering a smooth, comfortable fit.

Collaborations with Esteemed Artisans Yield Unique Models


The collection centers around three core frame shapes: the Wellington "IE001," the Boston "IE002," and the double-bridge aviator "IE003." Each model immediately impresses with its refined texture and exceptional comfort.


Further highlights include collaborations with other companies. The "IE001 BK DEEP LOW," a customization of the "IE001" featuring genuine tortoise shell components, is crafted by Osawa Bekko, a venerable tortoise shell artisan in Yanesen, Tokyo. The combination of natural tortoise shell and beta-titanium temples offers an unparalleled wearing experience. Additionally, the lineup includes sunglasses made from deadstock materials by Osaka Glass, cut thin and reinforced. These are remarkably lightweight for glass, with significantly enhanced impact resistance.
